Studies about ‘Education’ and the coming of age ‘Initiation Rituals’ among Sub-Saharan African societies confirm the view of community as a natural formation. The indigenous concepts of ‘education’ and ‘personhood’ show a pattern of cultural articulation of the sources of the ‘self’ in these societies.
